A Message from David

Hi,

I'm David, the founder of Palm. I'm excited to share what I've been learning and what we've been building with Palm. But first, let's answer some basics.

1. Why is the URL "ownyourgrowth.ai" when the company's name is Palm?

Because I want to be clear about my stance and Palm's mission: to empower teams and professionals to own their growth and turn their potential into impact by providing actionable insights, useful tools, and valuable content. And we use AI to make it happen.

2. Why the name Palm and the logo?

To communicate that we want to put your career and/or business growth in the Palm of your hand. Clever? Yes. Sincere? Absolutely.

3. Why should you create a Palm profile?

Because it's designed to give you agency, clarity, and confidence in your career journey. If you don't want those things, then you're right, this tool is not for you. BUT, if you're ready to take ownership of your career, set intentional goals, and maximize your potential, I'd like to introduce you to Palm :)

4. Is Palm for you if you lead a team?

Absolutely. While we start with agency, we know the impact of having team members who feel a sense of agency and trust... increased engagement and communication... leading to increased productivity, increased revenue, decreased costs, and lower risks.

As we build out the platform, we will make it easy for you as a team leader to access Palm and set up a profile that you and your team can use to get aligned, increase communication, and maximize performance. 5. Who am I?

I'm David Brown-Dawson. I'm a leader and a learner, a Californian and a Texan. If you're looking for some milestone accomplishments, here you go: I'm an ICF-certified leadership and career coach, an author (Enduring Urgency), an Air Force veteran, a UC Berkeley Haas MBA, a French toast aficionado.

Here's the thing. Because we work so closely with AI, we know you're probably unsure when you're reading thoughts from a human and when you're reading human/AI partnership pieces. We will be clear when you're getting human and when there is a collaboration happening. This is all me :)
